Harnessing the Best in PCB Design and EMI Simulation through the Altium and CST softwares
Over fifty (50) participants attended the workshop hosted by PCB Graphtech Philippines in partnership with the AyalaTBI to deliver the newest trends in PCB Design and EMI simulation held last June June 27, 2012 at the UP AyalaLand TechnoHub.
The Altium and the CST (Computer Simulation Technology) are solutions offered by PCB Graphtech to service EDA and PCB markets. The ALTIUM DESIGNER is an integrated Electronic Design Software (EDA) for industry, which has the capability to design and produce high-quality electronic products. A key feature is that PCB Design collaboration can take place amongst designers and engineers without compromising the integrity of the project.
CST Studio Suites, on the other hand, is a software that offers efficient and accurate computational solutions to electromagnetic designs for microwave & RF, EDA & electronics, EMC/EMI, charged particle dynamics, and statics & and low frequency issues - predicting radiation from electronic systems and signal integrity workflows. The whole day event, was made possible through Mr. Vince Chua, PCB Graphtek Philippines and the speakers: Jonathan Yeo, Manager of PCB Graphtech Singapore, Doreen Carreon, Application Engineer for South East Asia, Dr. Klaus Khrone, Sales and Customer Manager (CST) and CT Chiang , Customer Technical Support Manager (CST).
These tools are critical for the planned Product Development Center to be set-up by EAIPI and ASTI, in close coordination with DOST - PCIEERD. The Center will serve as a venue for the prototype and application of EMC/EMI standard testing for new product designs. By combining Altium's 3D features and CST's powerful and accurate EMI simulation, engineers will foresee design constraints and immediately be able to do iteration during the design process thus saving time, money and other valuable technical resources.
